How2Recycle is excited to unveil its new label offerings to members: How2Recycle Pro and How2Recycle Plus.
The How2Recycle Pro Label
Designed to be future-proofed—accurate, clear, and legally compliant—our refreshed label will soon be available to How2Recycle members in their member platform pending legislative review. From then on, members requesting new labels can receive the new How2Recycle Pro label.
The Dynamic How2Recycle Plus Label
How2Recycle members can now adopt the dynamic QR code label, How2Recycle Plus featuring Recycle Check.
Do I Need to Change My Label Immediately?
Once design is complete pending legislative updates, members will need to update their labels to the How2Recycle Pro design, but their updates don’t need to be immediate.
Members do not need to request new designs for existing labels. Shortly after the refreshed labels are live, members should find their existing labels replaced with the new designs within the Member Platform. Members can determine the best time to update their labels; however, we will not be supplying the How2Recycle Legacy Label upon requests for new labels.
Members with new or in-process projects at the time of the label change will be assigned an updated label in the normal course of business.
How Can I Get the New Dynamic How2Recycle Label?
How2Recycle members are now able to adopt and apply the dynamic QR code label, How2Recycle Plus featuring Recycle Check, to their packaging.

Since 2012, the How2Recycle Legacy Label has helped empower consumers to make informed disposal decisions. With this label in tow, How2Recycle has grown from its humble roots to having more than 800 members and issuing the most recognizable on-pack label across North America.
In that time, we’ve learned that a dynamic recycling landscape demands an adaptable label. As legislative and recyclability changes transform recycling, our refreshed How2Recycle Pro label will help members meet the moment. Designed to be accurate, clear, and legally compliant, our refreshed label design is available to How2Recycle members.
How2Recycle members can also opt to pair their standard How2Recycle Pro label with the dynamic How2Recycle Plus label featuring Recycle Check. This label pairing provides accurate, location-specific information to give consumers a clear answer on a material’s recyclability. Plus, in pairing these labels, we’ll make sure that consumers without cell phones or tech savvy still receive instructions.
