Colette received her BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design [RISD] where she learned about sustainable design practices and put them to use in a variety of different industries, including furniture, jewelry, and packaging. After many years working as a designer, she wanted to make a greater positive impact helping businesses operate more sustainably and received her Sustainable Business Certificate from UVA McIntire’s School of Commerce. Prior to joining How2Recycle as the Project Manager, Colette worked as the Sustainability Manager for a cannabis packaging company. In her role, she designed and implemented a sustainability strategy that included short and long-term goals across all departments of the organization. When she’s not trying to save the world, you can find Colette outdoors with her husband and two dogs, caring for her large houseplant collection, or learning a new craft. She also volunteers in her free time as a URI Master Gardener.
