Prior to joining GreenBlue’s How2Recycle team as a Project Associate, Amber worked in the packaging distribution industry in sales for several years and most recently as a sustainability program manager, where she focused on helping customers meet their packaging sustainability goals. Amber received her B.S. in Packaging from Michigan State University, where she gained a deeper understanding of the impact that packaging has on the environment and quickly developed a passion for sustainability and waste reduction. That passion led her to pursue her M.S. in Environmental Policy & Management from the University of Denver so she could chase her dreams of working for a mission driven organization, where she could truly make an impact. When she’s not trying to save the world, you can find Amber at a workout class, doing home improvement projects, reading a good book at home, or enjoying the great outdoors by hiking or skiing.
What is your why?
We only have this one planet that we call home and I feel that I have a responsibility to ensure that future generations have the same opportunities to experience it the way that I’ve been able to.
