Prior to joining How2Recycle as a Project Associate, Alessa worked as a Specialist at ChildFund International, a global humanitarian nonprofit. Through marketing initiatives, Alessa brought awareness to the public by sharing how unstable living conditions were for children around the world; and how they could bring lasting positive change to their communities. Alessa received her B.S in Marketing at Virginia Commonwealth University. During her time at ChildFund, she witnessed the negative impacts unsustainable living has on our world and developed a desire to help create a safer future. Joining the How2Recycle team was a step towards a safer future by empowering consumers to recycle through clear packaging labels. When she’s not trying to save the world, you can find Alessa camping with her husband and their two pups Jimi and Paul.
