How2Recycle is the leading on-package recyclability labeling system in the US and Canada that empowers consumers to recycle more and recycle better. We also provide design guidance to brands, retailers, and other industry players to responsibly design their packaging with end-of-life in mind.
Core Responsibilities:
The How2Recycle Platform Analyst (PA) provides foundational support by assisting with recyclability request processing. With a focus on learning, cross-training, and responsiveness, the PA plays a vital role in maintaining label approval workflow and quality assurance by stepping in where needed and building a strong understanding of the label assessment process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately process recyclability platform requests, adhering to established turnaround times and guidance.
- Support How2Recycle staff by providing task coverage when needed, including work on comments, second looks, proofs, or label updates.
- Assist in various areas of the platform workflow as cross-training is completed, allowing for flexible coverage across functions.
- Communicate directly with members when needed, under the guidance of a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, to help resolve requests or clarify submissions.
- Partner with R&D and technical team members by escalating questions or gathering context for more complex or technical requests.
- Communicate any limitations in knowledge, time, or task capacity to support appropriate workload distribution and quality assurance.
- Assist in gathering information for or helping with the implementation of new guidance and internal process updates.
- Participate in meetings, info sessions, or training opportunities to build understanding
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in packaging, material science, sustainability (or related field) or 5 years of comparable experience
- Fundamental understanding of the recycling system, packaging supply chain, or material science
- Familiarity with Salesforce, SharePoint, and ClickUp project management tool
- Background in packaging, project management, communication (or a combination)
- Experience communicating complex or technical topics to varied audiences of recyclability assessments and platform workflows.
