The Opportunity
GreenBlue’s Marketing and Communications team is seeking an Events and Programming Coordinator to join their team. This position will work closely with the rest of the Marketing and Communications team, the GreenBlue team at large and a variety of external stakeholders supporting the production of GreenBlue’s Events. This is a remote position based in the Continental US. Please read through the end before applying.
The Events & Programming Coordinator will:
- Be the lead in Speaker Management for all GreenBlue events after speakers are confirmed
- Be able to explain to a variety of stakeholders what our events are about, the topics we include and what GreenBlue’s projects are
- Develop speakers information hub, and answer all speaker inquiries
- Support Director of Marketing Communications with session writing, research and follow ups
- With guidance from Director of Marketing Communications, develop, plan and organize the tours for all GreenBlue events
- Maintain the event programs up to date and write the event recaps post-event
- Prepare ROS (run of show) for Moderators, GreenBlue speakers, AV company and event venues
- Prepare and send session introductions and support the scheduling of prep calls when needed
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in event tech for speaker and stakeholder management, and events landscape in the US, Canada and Europe
- Manage slide decks and related event program content via slide deck software and liaise with AV company
- Support the preparation of intro and hold slides including graphic design
- Prepare Social Media Graphics and related copy for speakers to showcase their event participation
- Take an active onsite role as part of the Marketing Communications and Events team at GreenBlue events managing speakers logistics and tours
- Support the Marketing Communications team as needed

- Have a degree and/or experience in the Packaging, Paper, Plastics, Climate, Circularity industry and can talk and write about sustainable packaging topics seamlessly

What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Design or similar and minimum 5 years related work experience or an equivalent combination, including at least 4 years’ experience at a similar role.
- Recent experience in a role within the Packaging or Climate Industry
- Experience in speaker management, stakeholder engagement and event logistics
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Canva and event tech stack including presentations (slide decks) management
- Experience using Clickup is a plus
- Experience with website management, especially with WordPress and Cvent
- Experience cultivating, negotiating and managing relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience writing event programs, session descriptions and event marketing copy
- Experience fostering an environment of creativity and professional growth
- Experience working in a matrixed environment and collaborating and implementing multiple projects

Starting Salary
$62,500
