The Sustainable Packaging Coalition is one of the first and most successful initiatives at GreenBlue. The SPC is a membership-based collaborative that believes in the power of industry to make packaging more sustainable. The Opportunity
The SPC Collaboratives serve as an essential forum to connect SPC members with each other on specific topics, a conduit for learning, a platform for sharing, and a key point of interaction for membership engagement. We want to continue to enhance the SPC Collaborative experience and are looking for the next person to lead this effort.

As the Manager of SPC Collaboratives, you will be a key member of the SPC team and have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of packaging sustainability subjects, working cross-functionally between program management, membership, and communications. You will have a deep curiosity about sustainable packaging, membership engagement, and successfully lead select Collaboratives while also providing guidance to colleagues who have the opportunity to lead or facilitate a Collaborative in their area of interest or expertise.


  • Investigate packaging sustainability challenges & opportunities
  • Evaluate existing and potential Collaboratives
  • Develop recommendations for potential process improvement
  • Work with the leadership team to establish best practices for leading and     facilitating a Collaborative
  • Lead and facilitate multiple Collaboratives while applying, testing, and expanding best practices
  • Build relationships with and gather insights from member companies
  • Collect, curate, and refine information to share with team or members
  • Generate and edit content for public-facing materials such as websites and social media
  • Travel to conferences and industry events throughout the year for public speaking and network building (virtual attendance at present)
  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct presentations for current and prospective members or other stakeholders
  • Aggregate and share stakeholder feedback to program and operations teams
  • Develop recommendations for potential project and process improvement
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent research and analysis skills
  • Excellent objective and persuasive writing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to clarify, synthesize, and simplify complex ideas
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
  • Microsoft Office & Google Apps
