Complementary events will advance systems-level solutions for sustainable packaging in direct connection with the leaders shaping EPR implementation.
Sept. 29, 2026 — GreenBlue today announced that SPC Advance 2027 will be co-located with the inaugural CAA EPR Forum. SPC Advance will take place at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 28-29, and will conclude with joint main stage programming that marks the start of the CAA EPR Forum. The CAA EPR Forum will then continue as an independent event, from September 29-30, also at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Since 2014, the Sustainable Packaging Coalition’s fall event, SPC Advance, has convened leaders from across the packaging value chain to advance solutions to the packaging industry’s most pressing sustainability challenges. SPC Advance 2027 will continue to support systems-level solutions for sustainable packaging, while its conjunction with the CAA EPR Forum will bring greater focus to the industry’s evolving role in the paper and packaging EPR era.
“For more than two decades, GreenBlue has created space for industry leaders to advance sustainable packaging systems at our events,” said Paul Nowak, executive director of GreenBlue. “Bringing SPC Advance and the CAA EPR Forum to Milwaukee creates a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with leaders from across the packaging and EPR landscape at a moment of significant change and innovation.”
SPC Advance 2027 is expected to bring together hundreds of professionals from leading brands, retailers, manufacturers, converters, and recyclers. The conference will continue to create a space for industry experts to connect and share insights on the policies, research, recovery systems, packaging designs, and practices shaping the future of sustainable packaging.
SPC Advance 2027 will take place during GreenBlue’s 25-year anniversary. Since 2002, GreenBlue, through projects like the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and How2Recycle®, has created a space for packaging stakeholders to identify and independently advance sustainable packaging systems. GreenBlue events have and will continue to create a dedicated space for the packaging value chain to exchange knowledge, strengthen relationships, and work toward shared sustainability goals.
